The company that i am working for belongs to the services sector (offices). I don't know if I'm allowed (as a H&S expert recognized by the Spanish Goverment) to do it in U.K. But my company wants me to and I need to know if I am allowed according the H&S U.K regulations. In that case, which are the objective skills that companies considers ?. What does means exactly to be a H&S expertise in U.K.?

Posted By garyh I would state categorically that to do risk assessment you just need to be competent. Your company has obviously decided this. You do not have to understand any regulation whatever to assess risk, nor do you need a NEBOSH qualification! However you might need these things if you want to ensure compliance with all applicable UK regs, which is a different thing. (It is worth saying that many UK regs (Statutory Instruments) are the UK acts which enact EC regs. So, the UK regs should be similar to those in other EC countries). If you understand the principles of risk assessment, and record your findings in writing, you should be OK. You could ask the HSE this question via their infoline, anonymously if you want.
