Posted By Robert K Lewis Antony The real problem here is that so little hard information is coming through and the HSE+EA are still investigating. The last Buncefield report provided some good pointers to what happpened. The recently released interim report on other similar sites gives a clearer picture of the background but the precise details are hazy. Hence the HSE and others are not yet making any open presentation. What is becoming clear are the following: a) Bund integrity during fire is an issue of concern b) Alarm systems were inadequately maintained c) Testing of offsite links did not always occur. d) The findings of assessments were not always incorporated into the plant equipment. e) There is a variability in the interpretation of the regulations and a review is now to be launched. We hope to provide a presentation on this at least to the CIA in the future but the lack of solid information is a problem. If you want to email me I can let you know when this is planned. Bob
