I am looking for some comments on the IOSH Healthcare: risk and safety management course.
I would specifically like to hear from those who have used it and have found it met their needs/ didn't meet their needs.
I would also be interested to hear from anyone who has adapted the course to suit a Social Care/ Domicillary Care setting.

Hi Joe
As a course provider I am currently delivering one to a mixture of staff within a PCT but have also delivered to Acute Trusts as well (as I work in one!).
Feedback I have had from all delegates has been excellent and I can say that it is good for the healthcare sector (as I have also delivered the Managing Safely course prior to this). Not too sure what changes you would need to make as it covers the general principles and then you add the specifics (using the actual procedures/forms or having a powerpoint running in the background and changing over to it when required). We are also now licensed for the new Working Safely in Healthcare but have not yet delivered that so cannot comment on it.
Regards
Bill

Hello Joe,
I work for CSCI and have just got the license for this and am thinking of doing a social care variant of this course, if you want to get in touch we could maybe talk about this?
