This thread is for the attention of safety professionals currently working in the NHS and have undergone job evaluation via the "Agenda for Change" process. Our matching panel have been unable to find an appropriate "national profile" to match the position of Health & Safety Advisor / Co-ordinator. I would therefore be very grateful if anyone that has been banded to either a 6 or 7 would be kind enough to share their job profile (not job description) with us to aid with the laborious process at our end. Many thanks and sympathy to those who have already been through it.

The fact that your Trust has been unable to "match" you to a national profile is not surprising. However having reached that point the next step is for you to carry out a JAQ - Job Assessment Questionaire to establish where on the National Pay Bands your post sits. This is national policy and once completed the JAQ will need to be agreed by your manager and submitted to the matching panel with a view to your being offered an acceptable pay banding.

I seen someone got matched to estates specialist knowledge, I also saw that someone got matched to band 6.
We also are still waiting to hear and think we will be going to JAQ also.
its hard to quantify bands as everyone does different roles.
