Hi Folks,
Since its Friday, I'll use a moment of your time to make a confession. The fire alarm here just went off, and I didn't move, just sat at my desk beavering away at a memo, assuming it was a drill. Oops, how do I live this one down?

This is a technique we tried a month or so ago... The site manager volunteered to remain in the building as a test to see whether the sweep of the building was done properly. You could say you were trialling this out on your fellow employees?!!

Was it a drill? or are you now done to a turn?

I count you among the "missing presumed dead" and you have to pretend that it was a test of the roll call system.

I believe that you were on active fire watch incase anything went wrong whilst everyone was busy pretending there was a fire. Good job well done keep it up. You should consider getting into Health and Safety with your forward thinking!

John - we should always lead by example - good for one good for all. So if alarm goes off get out and be accounted for.
Moral duty to fire brigade when they appear? Anyone not accounted for? Yes? - so they have to put themselves in danger to enter and look for you.
