Does anyone have any interesting H&S arguments on the two options. I have info from many different sources but would be interested to hear your views.
Thanks

have a read of the RoSPA free booklet at http://www.rospa.com/roa...fety/info/ownvehicle.pdf
There are others - all very interesting reading. the key fact for the employer is that they are taking the responsibility for their employee whilst driving in the employer's time at work, in their own car - can the employer be assured that the driver and car are safe? better to (as most responsible companies do) let them draivean approved lease car or hire car that fits a safe specification as well as training them indefensive driving periodically. This works very well and can change your driving habits permanently - it did mine!
A car scheme that simply compensates drivers for using their own car just saves a company some money but does not save them liability!
