Posted By Tracey Kelly I'm looking for a course in auditing to OHSAS 18001. I realise that as yet there are no officially accredited auditing qualifications for this standard, but would like to attend a reputable training course. Does anyone know of any that they can recommend? Tracey

Posted By Steve JB Tracey, I have attended a 2 day OHSAS 18001 internal auditors course with BSI. They also do a 5 day Lead Auditors course. Not sure if you have to be a member or not though. Worth a look Steve

Posted By Derek Holt Tracey, FYI In January this year UKAS gained authority to add OHSAS 18001 to their list of 'standards' to which providers of certification services can be accredited. This should mean that like ISO 9001 and 14001 certification bodies can now gain accreditation. The spin off will be that auditor courses will be provided by accredited certification bodies. I would assume the top players such as BSI, LRQA etc have either gained such or are in the application process. Worth asking when you make enquiries. Will accreditation help drive the popularity of OHSAS 18001? Discuss.
