I am due to give a presentation to an organisation shortly, and I want to highlight the important role senior staff have/hold within that organisation (ie managers, team leaders, supervisors etc), does anyone
know where I can obtain newsletters, articles etc which show individuals facing prosecution due to negligence on their part.

Any prosecution information would be ideal

Kind Regards

Have a look through past editions of safety mags if you have them, also look thru newspaper websites, cannot think of any at the moment unfortunately.

I seem to remeber a video from a while ago, about a manager who investigated an accident and how it could go to court dependant how investigated.

Have you thought of creating a scenerio, and asking themif they think they would be prosecuted, and if prosecuted what impact that would have on the business, them, family etc.

Not much help I am afraid

Regards

Hi Chris, put yourself in the listeners shoes, how would you feel if you were being told "this and that" can happen to you if you do not do "this".

You could start off with, when they do carry these things out not only will they be raising H & S awareness and moral amongst "the troops" but some employees will realise that management does care about their H & S and welfare.

At the end you could remind them of their duties and responsibilities under the HASAWA then add a few prosecutions and the sentences that were issued.

good luck
