The new fire regs are not quite with us but will be very soon. I will be carrying out a fire risk assessment next week and just wonder if I should be using existing criteria or should I be using any new rules/regs etc.
If I use the existing regs. do I have to go back and review the assessment when the new regs. come out?
I know this subject has been hammered recently but I have not read all threads.
All comments will be appreciated - also any guidance regarding fire risk assessments of existing trading stores on the high street would be useful.
If anyone has a record sheet or tick list etc. they are prepared to let me have I will swap for my own Fire Risk Assessment form.

"If you have previously carried out a fire risk assessment under the Fire Precautions Workplace) Regulations 1997,3 as amended 1999,4 and this assessment has been regularly reviewed then all you will need to do now is revise that assessment taking account of the wider scope of the Order as described in this guide." I have a copy of the guidance which I am pretty certain I downloaded from www.firesafetyguides.communities.gov.uk. There are a series of them for diffent workplaces and they are free (subject to usual re-use licenses which is why i have not offered you a copy!)They contain technical guidance on fire matters as well as checksheets etc Hope they are useful. If I have given you a kookie website lead PM me and I will see what can be done.

Thanks, you are both correct.
I did some research myself last night and found communities.gov to be a good site. Like Peter's suggestion it contains full information re the rrfso with printable forms etc.
What I have learned is that there is not much difference apart from the need to fire risk assess and if already done then just carry on as usual. I do already review all assessments.
What I cannot understand is why people who work for large companies have not yet carried out the assessments?
