Your assistance is very much appreciated.

Please can anyone provide any information or links on process based COSHH Assessments for the automotive/plant repair industry?

I am currently reviewing my Organisation's process based COSHH Assessments to determine the risk of exposure from chemicals and other hazardous substances commonly used within the automotive repair industry. A shortlist of process based COSHH Assessments would save me a huge amount of time as my role as a H&S Practitioner is a secondment to my current role in Operations Management.

I know servicing (oil changes), maintenance of braking systems and patch painting are just a few areas to be assessed.

Many thanks for your assistance.

There is plenty of information on your industry at the HSE site: http://www.hse.gov.uk/mvr/index.htm. Have you seen it?
