Hi there - I hope someone out ther may be able to help. I'm undertaking an inspection on refuse collection tomorrow where the collection method is a combination of wheeled bins and bags (about 85% 15% respectively).
I wondered if anyone had a checklist/inspection list that I could possibly poach off them of the hazards associated.
Thank you in advance.

I don't have a list, but think:
Manual handling (heavy bags)
Split bags (put out overnight and animals have torn them open)
Needles and sharps (broken glass etc.)

Not sure on the audit/ inspection remit, however, may be useful to cover Vehicle Inspection, Banksman, etc

To all of you who responded, many thanks for all the information given, it has been really helpful. I went out this morning (absolutely exhausted now!) and they guys are doing a sterling job and have only had to note on a few points.
So once again, thank you.
Emma.
