Posted By BeSafe Hi, Bit of a basic question, but can anyone advise the testing frequency for self contained emergency lighting units and where this is documented? I thought it was monthly check of lamps and units functioning and quarterly check leaving them on battery for an hour, but may be wrong! Thanks in advance.

Posted By Steven The guidance for emergency lighting related to the RR(FS)O states: Typically, testing would include: • a daily visual check of any central controls; • a monthly function test by operating the test facility for a period sufficient to ensure that each emergency lamp illuminates; and • an annual full discharge test. Hope this helps Steve
