Posted By SeanThompson Not long left to get this done!! just treat it like a normal risk assessment this time hazards will be mainly; sources of fuel, sources of ignition and the work process. You also need to include site plans and evacuation plans into this. I would recommend 'Fire Safety; an employer's guide' from HSE books, which is very helpful. Hope this helps. Sean Thompson

Posted By Derek Housley The "employers guide" referred to has been replaced by a suite of documents whhich are available from DCLOG ( Department of Communities & Local Government) website which was formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. PAS 79 has been produced by British Standard and gives a format for a fire risk assessment, but at £99.00 is not cheap, a number of Brigades have copies of fire risk assessment on their website, and there appears to be a few whizzing around members on this site. Good luck with your assessments

Posted By Ashley Wood It is not a requirement of the RR(FS)O to produce site plans and layouts (as per old fire certification). However, if you have a complex facility then it may help to have this available. But remember, the legislation does not require it.
