Posted By rks I have been given the possibility of some part time ( with my own PI) site inspection work for a demolition contractor. Could someone please give me a bit of an indication of what I should be charging for this type of work. the visits will be lasting for about 2-3 hours per site and with a small report going in after it. Any responses would be much appreciated. Regards

Posted By TONY It all depends on you're competence ie level of experience and qualifications to advise. The questions very vague to a certain extent it also depends on where abouts in the country your working? for instance you won't get London rates in inverness. If i was going in around the London area i would charge around £250 per day plus travel expenses. It might only be 4-5 hours work inc the report but what can you do with yourself afterwards.

Posted By Malcolm Greenhouse Given that you are inspecting for a demolition firm are they expecting you to perform Type 3 surveys? If so then your charge rate needs to reflect this, your PI certainly will!
