Posted By David Bannister I'd like to see this at the top of the list every week or so as it contains some first rate stuff with which to rebut the nonsense we all see written and hear from radio, TV and press as well as a misinformed public. Perhaps if each of us were to send it to the originators of the stupid stories whenever they appear we may change some entrenched opinions. At the very least it will show them we care. Further thought: should this stuff be included in NEBOSH materials? Comments please. Ah well, back to the real world from cloud cuckoo land.

Posted By Jim Walker Excellent article. Any chance that El Pres (on our behalf) could formally congratulate the TUC and the document's author?

Posted By Merv Newman Would the moderators (yes, I know you're watching) be kind enough to draw this thread to the attention of the editors of (that magazine thingy, what's it's name ?) Re-publishing this article (with permission) could do a lot of good Merv And if I could find out who wrote it there would be a decent bottle of wine on its way. And maybe a recipe for stuffed (insert appropriate title) Chips optional, of course

Posted By Tony Brunskill Cara, I have done some work on this in the past. I advocate the same approach as you have adopted for H&S. i.e Site Wide followed by more detailed investigation of particular issues identified. If you would like some info on how this can work in practice drop me an email. Regards Tony

Posted By John Allen I have been on holiday for a couple of weeks so have just seen this posting. Very good link! Quite happy to push it back up to the top as that piece of nonsense about "Common Sense" has just come around again. How many times does that rubbish have to be shot down before it stays down?
