Posted By stevehaigh Gas has been to do a service of our Gas Appliances They say we need require a notice (legal requirement) for the main fan in the kitchen to be switched on whilst gas appliances are in use in other words cooking. Please can you send a relevant notice? Is this correct and if so what should it say?

Posted By andymak I understand that this is the case, and that signage is available. However I would be asking why the operation of the gas valve is not interlinked with the operation of the fan? I believe that is a more usual way of doing things. Where I am if there is a problem with the fan no cooking can take place as there is no gas available, as we found out a few weeks ago!
