Posted By joe collins Is there any one out there who works in construction that are more than happy with how their employer has set the site up?. Reason being is that we have regular H&S site inspections and although we comply to H&S legislation, it is recommended that we try to come up with innovations that go above and beyond the norm if practicable?. It can be anything ranging from, administration, working platforms, mobile plant, P.P.E, health & welfare, to environmental etc. Any recommendations will much appreciated.

Posted By Ron Hunter It isn't new, but have you considered extending your efforts to community education, i.e. visiting local schools near the site(s) to highlight the dangers posed by construction work? There is a fair amount of resource out there covering schools/young people

Posted By joe collins Thanks for the replies, we have actually visited the local schools, community etc, and received positive information that we have used, but I was interested to know if other sites have introduced innovations, as I said was above and beyond the industry norm?, as if it improves H&S standards then it can't be a bad thing. Also the question asked does not relate to any audit due to be carried out, hopefully it is to better the H&S standard's that already exist on site.
