Apologies if this has been asked before.

My question is - will our membership be upgraded automatically to CMIOSH? Or do we have to formally apply.

My first two years CPD finishes 31/12/06, and I hold the NVQ4 so I think I am eligible for CMIOSH, just wondered how we apply.

I am due to become CMIOSH then as well. I have sent in my CPD paperwork and recieved the signed off form from IOSH and log in details to the new online CPD system for the next cycle.

When I logged on it has me down as chartered already so I presume it does it automatically.

Our IT system won't allow access to the online CPD system, so I would need to check at home once I receive my form back.

All MIOSH members successfully completing their CPD cycle ending 31/12/06 are eligible to use Chartered status - CMIOSH as of 1 January 2007, the first day after the official end of your cycle.

Our Membership Department will be issuing new Chartered certificates as soon as possible after this date.

Hi Melissa,

I too have had my summary form signed, returned and have gained access to the online CPD scheme. Can you please confirm if our CPD scheme begins on January 1st or is that us started our new 3 year cycle now?

As you have returned your summary sheet and have completed your paper based cycle we have activated the online CPD scheme for you already so yes you can commence with the new scheme now.

It is only the Chartered status which really should not be used by upgrading members until January 1st.
