Posted By PETER GANNAWAY Does anyone have a general Risk Assessment covering common areas in multiple occupation living accomodation which are I understand are deemed to be places of work. I wondered if there were any particular areas I should be looking at apart from the usual, delivery staff, lone working/working at height/asbestos log for contractors, foul weather plans etc.

Posted By Bob Shillabeer Just wondering why do you need to working at height and asbestos risk assesments? Why not concentrate on the general risks and do the other specialist risk assessment when the need arises. For example after you have had your survey done to identify any asbestos create a record and give it to the asbestos specialist you will (I hope) get to do any work with it. You are then covered because you are using someone with the relevant competence. Likewise with working at height; assuming such things as decorators are used get them to advise on the risks. Make life easy.
