Could anyone please answer a query for me?
Have a job application that states the applicant must be IOSH-certified, in order to be able to conduct Fire and Safety training.
Any idea of which certificate??
Would appreciate any help,
JM

I would imagine they refer to being a chartered member of IOSH, this is similar to adverts in SHP that specify "must be holders of an IOSH diploma" or, "must be a member of CMIOSH"! Getting it right would be helpful when advertising for a specialist.
It could be that they are confused between Nebosh and IOSH and are infact making reference to the Nebosh fire certification.
That is my best guess anyway

Where the applicant will be expected to deliver IOSH accredited courses, then he/she will have to meet their qualification criteria. This may be what is meant?

Thanks Ron and Mark.
I think Ron's right, presumably IOSH have their own qualifications for external Trainers?
Thanks again,
JM

Hi JM82,
I don't know if they have their own qualification, but if you want to deliver an IOSH course you do have to either be an experienced trainer and able to produce evidence, or preferably have a recognised training/adult ed cert, as well as having the H&S knowledge required for the level of course,
John
