Posted By Rob Fisher Hi, Can anyone help in suggesting the best way of translating my company H&S documentation and information into Polish. We have employed a translator, however I feel that some of the H&S legal jargon and specific details regarding the machinery we use does not translate well and the result may be meaningless and non effective (this is probably due to the translator's Non H&S background / experience!)What I really need is a person who can translate the documentation who has an H&S background. Any information or assistance will be helpful Rob

Posted By Glyn Atkinson We have the same work being done as one of our production lines is predominately Polish staff. Our full time on-site translator/administrator has a technical Polish to English dictionary, and so far, our H&S policy, all induction documentation and the manual handling have been translated, along with on-site safety signage. Send me a pm and I can probably show you a lot of your workplace requirements. Our order to Scriptographic for manual handling translated booklets has now gone to their latest brochure, so they are able to translate any of their safety booklets easily for training purposes. Hope this helps - there was also a thread on here a few months ago with a lady offering technical translations into the Polish language?? regards.

Posted By Bob Shillabeer It costs money I know but there are quite a lot of companies out there who will trnslate any document into almost any langage you can imagine. We had a research report translated into madarine chinese last year for around £600 (a thousand page document) It's not that hard.

Posted By Steve Hickey Try this website I found, I'd be interested to know from any Polish speaking Colleagues out there if they could be used in this country. We have a few Polish guys working in our construction company who I'd like to provide with some information but I don't want to give conflicting information.
