Hi All

I have been asked by our staff if we could supply steps of some sort to get on and off the back of our 7.5 ton boxed lorries. We have a handle on the side at present and there is a step bar underneath would this be considered to be enough?

Like me a couple of the drivers are clocking up the miles. Your comments would be appreciated.

Hi Martin

Had the same problem about 20 years ago with the company I worked for as a driver. Lorry bed
5feet off the ground, multiple shop deliveries,17tonner. Get the picture. We had numerous accidents, drivers slipping on the step removing kneecap on ali rail on the bed,or falling out, or through the step. The answer we found was a tail lift. Perhaps a bit expensive. 1. You could go for a fold out double step.
2 If you have an under rail across the rear of the lorries, have a second step put in above it.

It would be a good idea to do both sides.
Good luck Alan N
