Hotelier's Responsibilities for safe Toilet Seats
Rank: Guest
|
Posted By Phil Bancroft I have read recently of a number of people who have suffered nasty injuries in public toilets. In particular at hotels and pubs. Does anyone know what responsibility publicans and hoteliers have to ensure toilet seats are not broken? I am aware that seats can break very easily (with so many obese people around) and wonder what the responsibilities in law are for proprieters.
Are there any cases in law where the public have sued for injury? Anyone know?????

Posted By garyh Are these "public" or "private"?? I would suggest private.
And obese people are to blame? Surely vandalism is the major cause?
