Posted By Nicholas Morris Doing an environmental presentation next week to launch our new initiative to managers- need a good environmental joke or two as icebreakers. A quick internet search came up with quite a few american ones but nothing that really seems relevant here. I'm sure there must be someone out there who can oblige please??

Posted By Robert K Lewis On a slightly more serious note with a very dry humour try the CITES requirements (Convention in trade of endangered species)
Certain "rare"plants are included. The offence is to possess any part of any specimen listed whether living or dead unless authorised.
Therefore when building a highway in the jungle or cutting down the rainforest you can destroy the last remaining colony providing you do not move it from its location. If you move a plant to safety you commit the offence.
Strange but true!

Posted By Jim Walker Chris, I wasn't passing it off as my own.
That's 3 people who I know who profess to be the originator of CATNIP.
Always gets a laugh though.
