Good morning all,
Is anybody aware of any differences in the smoking laws between the laws introduced in Scotland last year and the laws that are to be introduced into Wales as of April 1st 2007 especially with respect to company vehicles (distribution and standard cars)?
In anticipation, Thanks for all your useful responses.
Regards,
Craigy D.

Smoke-free vehicles
4.—(1) Subject to the following paragraphs of this regulation, a vehicle shall be smoke-free if it is used —
b)for work by more than one person (even if the
persons who work there do so at different
times, or only intermittently).

So the draft regs do differ from the Scottish regs which state that you can smoke in your company vehicle providing it is not shared by another employee. Then it by virture becomes a public place.
I wonder if this is a deliberate change or a mistake.
We will have to wait and see.
Seasonal regards to all who reponded.
