Having had a serious accident in the workplace I carry out safety presentations and tell my story as to “The Human cost of an accident and the Impact that it has on others” to live audiences, (which I want to point out that I am not promoting on this forum) however I am keen to find out peoples comments or views on Web based video streaming/live web casting to assist in promoting safety in the workplace.
I have been told that this is big in the USA (they call it Webinars as opposed to Seminars) and it would mean me contributing less to carbons emissions as I would be cutting out those journeys by car rail and plane which would also be better for me as travelling sometimes can literally be a real pain.
I have had a look on the web but there is so much info out there and so many companies trying to sell it and rather trawl anymore I would be interested in hearing from any safety professionals who can give me a few pointers or who have had experience of Web based Safety conferences/presentations or could recommend anyone who might be able to assist.
I trust and hope that this thread falls within the forum guidelines and has been placed in the correct forum and satisfies the moderators.
Thanking you in advance and wishing you all a very safe festive session.
Regards
Frank Carrano

Posted By Chris Ivan i used www.glance.net to give Powerpoint presentations via a tele/web conference call with other users too, a bit tricky at first, but easy enough once you get used to it

Chris Packham of Enviroderm has presented webinars for the BOHS. He contributes to this forum fairly regularly and I am sure that he will be able to give you some pointers when he sees your posting.
