Hi, I have a question:
Does an accident that occurs at home i.e., not work related, need to be recorded in the company accident book, if that accident impairs the ability of a person to undertake their normal work activities?
Would just like clarifed please. Thanks!

Hi Paul !
I think the answer is definitely No ! Only if it's work related accident, during your normal working pattern would it be recorded in the accident book. If everyone had to enter that information in the accident book, imagine all those people who play sports, do DIY etc, at the weekends who sustain injuries who would have to enter that info in it. Hope that helps ?

As JJ says, No - but, if you cannot safely perform your normal work, you should inform your employer and also your doctor (in order to obtain certification to that effect).
