Morning All,

We are in the market for a (cheap) lux meter to measure lighting levels in our workplace; I am positive we do not have any issues, but I need to do a basic assessment and record the levels.

There are a few meters on the market but I have found some have different settings for tungsten, sodium, flourescent lighting etc; are these preferable or a little superfluous for simple lighting assessments please?

Also, can anyone advise me where I can get a meter calibrated please?

Any advice would be much appreciated

As long as the sensor in the meter responds like the eye (in a similar way to the A-weighting for noise), the type of light source shouldn't matter.
