Good Morning,

We have a couple of mobile employees that undertake specialist repairs to construction machinery at customer’s premises in a variety of locations including quarries.

These employees have CSCS cards but one has recently been asked for a ‘quarry pass’ which I have no knowledge of, can anyone enlighten me please?

FYI, we are not related to the construction industry, we provide support for our products which are installed in construction transport.

Many Thanks

Booney

Hi Booney

It is probably the quarry version of the Safety Passport issued by Safety Passport Alliance.

www.safetypassports.co.uk

An example of UK not having its act together with proliferation of different schemes which are not particularly compatible.

So as example, CSCS is about demonstrating a level of competence.

Conversely SPA schemes are about attending a one day course and then another one day sector specific.

Regards, Peter
