I have just been asked by my boss what is involved in calculating the carbon footprint of my company.

Whilst I am aware that this will involve dialling in usage of electricity, gas, heating oil, miles driven and miles flown, the practicalities of drawing this all together for 17 sites and 840 employees is somewhat daunting.

I have done a Google and found calculators for domestic calculations, but as far as I can see nothing for calculating whole company figures.

Any advice or information as to how to go about this gratefully received.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Mike

America's foot print was 'ten' planets the last time that I looked - so much for the rest of us - Africa's was one planet

There are simple tools on the market that give a very broad outline

Try the IEMA site - Note: You have to be 'competent' re env issues to give a real indication

This issue is becoming bigger and bigger
