Posted By Steve Mansfield Does anyone know of a really effective and inspiring trainer who can teach techniques for.. 1) staying upright while walking on uneven, slippery ground? 2) staying upright when something you're pulling or pushing (e.g. spanner, tensioning strop, etc) slips, jams or breaks suddenly? Over 70% of Lost Time Accidents in our distribution operation fall into these two catagories. So if you have a solution i would be very grateful. best regards Steve

Posted By Andy Brazier If you could provide us with a full analysis of the root causes, for any that are either a lack of skill or knowledge I am sure training could be arranged.

Posted By Kieran J Duignan Steve Two inspiring trainers are Steve Darkus, the Safety Coach, and Aubrey Daniels, the behaviour modification guru. Snag is they're both in the USA and very expensive. Unless you have a mega budget, be content with a competent and cheerful behaviour modification specialist, ideally one who's a chartered safety and health practitioner, willing to coach your team leaders to be inspiring. It's the team leaders who will or won't inspire for the years following the day or two of training you invest in. Invest in enabling them to 'inspire' through day-to-day behavioural coaching rather than simply in an 'inspiring' trainer whose inspiration is only available for very limited time.
