Posted By John Lewis If your machine emits dust, vapour or steam in particular, light beam guards may not be the way to go. The light beams are difracted by the steam or dust, the sensors get dirty and the machine stops. I have seen this happen on a filter press unit. We fitted permanent fixed mesh guards and simultaneously improved safety and productivity. John
