Posted By Phil Rosenberg I have searched the web for information regarding faults in radio remote controls . Manufacturers put in an 8 or 16 bit address code and say it is foolproof . I was crushed when I believe the signal was miss read , instead of lift I got travel and it stuck in that mode untill the emergency button was activated . Can you enlighten me .

Posted By Merv Newman I've known this before when controls were mistreated. Swung back against the wall or allowed to deteriorate. The problem is not usually in the coding but in damage to the circuits. It can happen and OH crane people must be made aware of this. Best practice is to "dock" the control into a cabinet which can be locked by the crane person. Merv

Posted By Phil Rosenberg Thanks Merv ,the controls are used by up to ten users many times in the day .We had been having problems with this gantry cutting out and coming to a dead stop .Scary when youve got ten ton swinging .They say this is designed to happen if the reciever has a rogue signal on the same frequency , so they must be in the area .
