good morning all

i'm trying to raise awareness of dehydration in my workplace and i am looking for posters to put up in the toilets which do this by checking urine colour. I have searched on the net, but have come up with nothing.Anyone help me?

I made my own up quite easily in MS Word. Find a suitable slogan and put a block of suitable yellow colour beneath it. Print off and laminate, use as part of your training and put them in the toilets.

One of the slogans we used was "I dont want to take the **** but if you pee darker than this you need to drink more water" you get the idea. All you can achieve is an indicative colour on your sheet.

The Fire Brigades do proper charts if you can get hold of them, but you are after raising awareness not getting them to take samples and check against a scale. You will also need to highlight the need for good diet, regular breaks and make sure they know that wholesome water is better than coffee.

You will get the inevitable jokes about "dehydrated ? I had 9 pints last night" but I found it surprisingly easy to convince folk that this was a problem they needed to address and keep an eye on for their own health.

I will soon be looking for similar dehydration awareness material for employees who enter an Evironmental Chamber at temps up to +50c.

Was given the name of a chart from a guy at the HSL ( Health & Safety Laboratory ) but at present cant remember what its called.

Did a google search however and found these that may be usefull from Yorkshire Water. Available to print off, cut out and laminate.
( just a shame IMO that they are called pee - o - meters ! )
