Posted By Sarah F I'm updating our DSE Training as it it rather dull to deliver and not that interesting for those attending the training. I would appreciate any ideas to make it less dry. Many thanks. Sarah

Posted By safety medic Sarah, Depending on how many employees you have I would suggest taking a personal approach and undertaking individual training at their workstation. This wold allow you to remidiate any bad habits/problems individually and immediately and demonstrate committment from yourself. I firmly believe that wherever possible training should be practical based so if you have too many employees then in groups you could gather around a 'staged' workstation and identify the hazards as a group and discuss around the subject. Our company uses an online training package but I followed this up with individual discussions baased on the reponses they made and problems identified. Ian

Posted By Sarah F Ian, Thanks for your response, but I didn't make myself clear in my request. This is DSE train the trainer training. So I'm training managers who staff use DSE. We do mock up a workstation in the training, it's just that the actual presentation is rather dry. Sarah

Posted By jackw. Hi there is a good video around called are you sitting uncomfortably which I use as part of the training..it takes an unusual approach..is light hearted yet makes all the salient points. .not that expensive.. No offence meant but hows your own training technique? we often forget to check on and update our own presentation skills. Cheers.
