Posted By Frank Newman Do away with knives. I've done a lot of work with the paper industry where knives, sheath, bowie or box cutters were deemed essential. Recently worked with a paper converter where knives of any kind were banned. Even splitting down a two-ton master roll was done with a sort of wedge-shaped splitter. An ergonomic bitch. (Kieran !) I had to demonstrate the right two-handed technique though. American company with the right ideas but a bit short on practicalities. Merv

Posted By Ken Wilcox The Stanley knives are used for opening pigment bags(all types plastic,paper etc) we have tried several safety knives to no avail. We have managed to remove Stanley knives from our packing department but this is proving more difficult within the mixing section. Ken
