Posted By Edward9 We are looking at relocating our fire evac point as our current point is no longer suitable due to site changes.
Can any one point me in the right direction over how much space should be allocated to a fire evac point. On site at anyone time we would have a maximum of 100 personnel. Thanks

Posted By Jason Warren I told on a recent course that the assembly point should be as far away from the building as the height of the building. I think this assumes that the worst case would be that the building collapses.
You also need to consider that the assembly point:
- does not cause an obstruction for the emergency services who need a clear route to the building, - is large enough for the numbers of people, - allows people to move directly away from the building and to safety, - is not in an area of high risk eg electrical, lpgs, vehicle routes, noise etc. - is easy to get to and where possible takes people directly away from the building.
Hope this was useful. Regards.
