Hi all
I am currently in the middle of re-writing the policy statement, and the original statement is ok, but only really covers what we need to cover (plant and systems,IITS etc) IE the minimum expected

I would like to put something together that is more progressive (bearing in mind it has to be one side A4 ), and am not sure how to "go beyond" them, would anyone have (what they consider to be ) a progressive policy statement that they would let me have a look at?

Regards
WJ

I feel that it is always a good idea to place a significant emphasis on the well being and development of the employees with regards to health and safety after all (public aside) it is them that we are trying to safeguard.

Another useful input is that from the quality and environmental angle i.e. to continually improve.

Hope this is of some help.

Google some of the well known blue chip companies, as they normally have their H&S policy on their web site, and will give some idea of what is possible and content.

Wayne,

have a look at the free policy statement on our web-site,

http://www.web-safety.com/freesm/

You will also get guide to organisational responsibilities, performance indicators, and a set of safety management procedures.

These are free for you to adapt and use internally.

regards, Philip
