can someone please tell me the Fall protection requirements of the above standard or is it necessary for me to spend £52.00 to purchase the standard.

Unless you are a manufacturer or supplier of full harnesses I think it would be wasted money.
If you have specific questions on requirements e mail me and I will try to answer your questions.
