Dear all,
My Managing Director's daugther has a project to create a risk assessment for a fictitious dance school and detail all the Health and Safety types of issues that may affect the school. Can anyone help or have had real-life experience of such a risk assessment.

Would this be a purpose type dance school or a local church hall type?
Access route, any stairways?, condition of paving on entry etc; conditions of flooring in studio; properly affixed bar (ballet);

What age range would the students be as this may have an impact on collisions (small children running about)?

Is there a waiting area for small childrens parents - this too will need assessing.

General points - all the usual, slips, trips, falls, welfare facilities, fatigue (of the teacher!).

I am sure there is much more but would need clearer description of fictitious school to add any more.

Hope it helps a bit
