Posted By Alan Nicholls Hi Sean
Are you refering to fibreglass fibres or fibreglass use with resin?
Fibres have been listed in the US as a substance which may reasonably be anticipated to be carcinogenic. German MAC Commission as a substance to be treated as if a probable cause of cancer.
Fibreglass resin gives off STYROL/ PHENYLETHENE this can enter the body by respiratory means or through skin contact. Causes headache nausea dizziness. It is stored in you fatty tissue, liver, waterworks, (renal) and your brain, it is suspected of causing cancer.
Some say it is worse than asbestos, small fibres enter the lungs and remain until you die.

Posted By Granville Jenkins I have seen comments made in the past that fibreglass fibres will become the 'asbestos' of new millennium!
