Posted By Andy Peters As I watched the news last night I was appalled to see that the children Jim had fixed it for, to eat their lunch on a roller coaster, were reliving their experience, 27 years on! I feel that the possibilities of a choking hazard were pretty sky high, and on a moving roller coaster would be hard to combat until it had come to rest! I know life can have its ‘Highs and Lows’ and we need some fun and entertainment but I feel Health and Safety should have stepped in and put a stop to this! Maybe the guys found a loop hole in the system as I’m sure many other people sometimes do! Have a good weekend anyway! Regards Andy

Posted By JEB If this had been stopped I'm sure the majority of true H&S professionals would have been up in arms, and the media would have had a field day once again about the elf & safety brigade.

Posted By Amanda I must agree with JEB on this. If these people were about 10 27 years ago that means they will be 37 (ish) now. Surely they are old enouch to asses the risk for themselves, maybe with a little assistance?

Posted By Dean Stevens My opinion. It's not a workplace and I'm sure the "kids" are now old enough to realise the risks involved.Would be worth watching to see if it is commented on though. I'm sure the theme park where it is being filmed have covered their backsides somehow, they wouldn't allow this to happen if they were liable in anyway. Sorry have to agree with the above post on this one. P.S I wouldn't recommend a Chinese, rice is a bugger to get out of your eye.

Posted By Merv Newman I reckon that on an average roller coaster the probability of choking is neatly balanced by that of vomiting. Swings and roundabouts. Merv

Posted By Dave West I agree with the above and hope someone does not try and make an issues over this for fear of more bad press. The original clip is apparently one of the most searched for on Youtube. Verry funny! On a separate note, as a child i wish i knew then that i know now. If i had wrote a letter asking to see how toilet rolls were made i would have had more chance of getting on televison. I obviously never got a reply from asking for one of them cars of The Banana splits children's programme :-)
