Is this a late April fools?

Or taking reasonably practicable a bit far?

Or the press getting it wrong again?

Would be nice to see the HSE's reply to this.

Surely some basic manual handling training / awareness would suffice, i mean it's not as if these people aren't aware of the hazards involved?

Give me strength.

First of all its just the Daily Bile mongering its usual brew of anxiety and fear inducing stuff, designed to create a sense of low-grade misery in favour of its own political agenda. Second, it seems from the response that HSE is talking about moving large items of furniture while the 'journalist' is talking about chairs. Third the 'person who works at HSE' is unattributed and probably resides in the hacks fevered imagination and nowhere else. Fourth it also carries a story saying 'Labour has killed the housing marker; oh, we've been saying that since 2002 and it hasn't happened yet; Labour has killed the housing market.'

I read somewhere that every country gets the media it deserves; what have we done to deserve this?
