Yesterday was the first day of being able to renew you IOSH membership online - and it works!

You can log into myIOSH and do it from there...

Just thought I'd let you know in case you didn't already!

Yes, I just did the same ... apparently the receipt for claiming the cost back from your employer, comes with the card still.

Hi Teresa,

Thanks for your message. MyIOSH has been configured to recognise if your membership is due for renewal and adapt accordingly.

Therefore, if it’s time to renew your IOSH membership you will see a large red message in the centre of your screen as soon as you login to MyIOSH.

Beneath this message is a link which reads:

Please note that this facility becomes automatically available only when your membership is due for renewal. Therefore any member who is fully paid up will not see this message.

Hope that helps,

Neal Clark, Web Co-ordinator.

Hi - must be a better option than the "snail mail" option. Still waiting for confirmation of my renewal and my new card.

Regards

No message, so I've obviously paid...

No card yet though. Anyone know when these will be posted?

All,
The new membership cards are currently being posted out and a number of people have already received theirs. If you give it another few days it should reach you. This year's cards are plastic and have to be outsourced for production so it does take a little longer as they are done in batches.

Thanks Hazel. It seems that you have taken on board the comments regarding the old style cards. Very encouraging

I've just checked my old card. Expired 31 march. Still no new card. Does this mean I am not allowed to proffer my invaluable advice for the moment ? Or should I just temporarily reduce the excessive prices I charge ?

I think it has probably been paid but it goes through the office and I may not have even seen the renewal notice.

I'm glad to hear we are getting a better class of card. The old one has been in my wallet for the last year (13 months actually) and is all cracked and blurred.

I've been a member since 1990 (?) and I'm still waiting for someone to ask me to show them mine.

Merv

The only time I have been asked to see mine was at one AGM, sad isn't it?

I would really like one of Hazel's diamond encrusted ones though.

The last (only) time I got a diamond encrusted service pin was after 25 years with the same company ! (ceremony included dinner with my direct boss. (my wife always referred to him as "the lizard")),(left 'em six months later)

Wouldn't mind a platinum IOSH card. (real Pl ?)

Mine finally arrived yesterday.

Agreed it is much better than the last one.

Just have to wait for someone to ask me to show it to them now...

Perhaps we should introduce a 'cork club' at our branch meetings - when if asked to produce it and if you don't have it with you, you pay a 'fine' to charity or something.

Just a thought.
