Posted By srd What instruction / training does the responsible person for health surveillance under COSHH require, in relation to dermatitis. A HSE leaflet says that a responsible person is a person, who, following instruction from a medical practitioner (or occupational health nurse), is competent to recognise the particular signs and symptoms of the skin conditions associated with the substances concerned. Is 'instruction' a case of simply being told that you look for signs of dry and cracked skin, or is there more to it than that? Stephen.
