Posted By Gary P Jones Hello to you all, This is my first posting here I am relativley new to IOSH and am looking for helpful resources to clarify some issues that may raise themselves during this new career path that I have been persueded to take on. The Issue I have come across is that of safety equipment needed for cupronickle grinding, my company is basically a manufacturing site and provides a welding service, along with this we do provide the grinding service, my concern is that we have an LEV that houses 4 stage filtration for the grinding service and our guys are PPE with full ventilation masks. but the LEV plant for the grinding of cupreneckle has now been moved to alongside the welding bay. Are there any specialist equipment neede other than the LEV needed?

Posted By Gary P Jones Sorry for being so vague, The issue I tried to get accross was does anyone know what the minimum requirements (eg: safety equipment) is required for cupronickle grinding. I confused matters when I started to talk about our welding area as this is where the we intend to move the cupronickle LEV. The question was raised by a concerned shop floor fitter who has worked with cupronickle for some years and he reckons we fall short with the safety apsects. Thanks in advance Gary
