Posted By Robert K Lewis Firstly I presume you mean a 1000 litre tank. Whilst in movement these are not subject to the Oil Storage Regs but they are when stationary. Thus wherever it is "parked up" when not in use it will be subject to the general requirements applicable to storage, such as location of drains and watercourses etc. Also I assume this is being used within a site, they are really too vulnerable on a road and there are purpose constructed vehicles for this purpose. Your use of double bunded is a bit confusing - double walled tanks are not bunded in terms of the regulations. Bunding means that the fill mechanisms and valves are contained within the bund area, which is not the case with double walled tanks. Not a problem when being used for filling but it is for storage. There are fully bunded trailers now available however and you may be referring to these. If it is merely double skinned you will need to stand it in a bund area capable of holding 1100 litres when not in use You will also need to consider the issues of spillage and emergency procedures when both stored and also in use.
