Posted By Robert Paterson Hi Everyone Looking for information in relation to Abrasive wheels training. Have been looking in PUWER but I don't know if it is me but I can't seem to fathom out if hand held grinders come under the scope of Abrasive wheels or does it apply only to fixed equipment. Hand held grinders are used in manufacture of stainless steel units. Any help welcome. Please reply to rpaterson@falconfoodservice.com and not the email at my name highlighted above or reply to forum posting Regards Robert Paterson

Posted By TomP The definition of an abrasive wheel is:
'An abrasive wheel is usually defined as a wheel consisting of abrasive particles bonded together with various substances. There are two main types of bonding agent: inorganic and organic.'
Not about hand held or not.
For more reference refer to HSG17 which is the AcOP for PUWER related to abrasive wheels.
Hope this helps.
