I am looking for a fire resistant material for fire prevention purposes while welding, etc. I remember from my off-shore days (quite hazy) that our welder used to be supplied with a large green roll of this purpose serving material. whatever size of area he needed to cover, he would cut from the roll. I have tried the usual outlets in order to source this material - to no avail! Any suggestions.

Thank you

David.

Don't know how big an area you need to protect but what about large fire blankets?

David, we use something called Tyglass for sheeting out prior to welding.
