Hi

Anyone have, or know where to find, typical airborne fibre concentrations when carrying out various tasks (removal of AIB ceiling tiles, CAF gaskets, floor tiles, etc.).

Thanks

Typical exposures during work with asbestos insulation, coating and AIB - Table 15 HSG227 'A comprehensive guide to managing asbestos in premises'.

Typical fibre concentrations for work with asbestos cement - Table 3 HSG189/2 'Working with asbestos cement'.

Textured coating -http://www.hse.gov.uk/research/hsl_pdf/2005/hsl0532.pdf

I am not aware of any published 'typical' figures for floor tiles, CAF etc. and unfortunately have not been able to 'retain' exposure data from previous employment. I can remember however, that the exposure data for removing these materials was almost without exception 0.01 fibres/ml.

I hope this is of use.

Maybe someone can point us in the direction of other published info?
